Silas is growing so much! He is pulling up on everything now. Walking is in our near future. We took him to the beach for the first time last week. He loved it! He didn't get in the sand much, however, because he would have put it right in his mouth. That's where everything goes now. Nathan put his feet in the water, and he enjoyed that.
He is definitely a boy, though. He likes to play rough and wrestle with his dad. He also likes to rough-house with Jared, a guy from church that watches him on Wednesday nights. Jared puts him on top of a box and pulls him around the living room. Silas can't get enough of it. He immediately crawls over to the box and waits for Jared to pull him around. He also loves to knock over blocks after you have stacked them. He just laughs and laughs about it.
Silas has also turned a corner with riding in the car and being sociable with family and friends. Most of the time he only cries at night and when he is super sleepy. He also loves to play with other people now. He has been going to the nursery for Sunday school and stays during church as well. We have had some other little ones to start coming, so Silas has made some friends. I think that has made all the difference.
Silas has also started developing his taste a little more these days. He will try just about anything from the table, and likes most of it. It is getting harder to get him to eat baby food since he has started eating more from the table. It's hard to believe that he will be 9 months old in a couple of weeks. Time flies when you are having fun.
Until next time...
